Kat holds a bachelor of science in Art Therapy and a minor in Fine Arts. She is currently a graduate student at Lesley University to become an Art Therapist/LMHC. Kat has a passion for working with people, and has most recently worked with adults with disabilities, and people in recovery from substance use disorder. She has led therapeutic art groups for adults and children with disabilities, and people in recovery. She has coordinated art exhibits to showcase artists in recovery and thinks well-being begins with community. Art has been a healing practice for her, and she believes it is an incredible tool for all people regardless of artistic background. Kat is newly engaged, and mother to a large orange cat named Leo. In her free time, you can find her lifting weights at the gym, and watching “The Office”.
